Cosmosol chooses the best partners to pursue its sustainable development policy. Eugenio Bellinzoni plays an important role among these. He has been working in molds manufacturing and plastic material molding for 30 years. Over the years, his experience and respect for the environment led him to pay particular attention to the sensible topic of sustainability and in particular he focused on the search for sustainable materials and safe disposal.
First of all, it is important to point out that there are two different ways to reduce the amount of plastic in the products:
- weight of the plastic components can be reduced even if this method cannot be applied to all the products.
- you can use a polymers compound in order to reduce the impact of the plastic inside the product (for example plastic combined with a percentage of PCR, wood fiber and many others).
Then, there are the so-called new plastics, which are used in the manufacturing of different products.
In particular, new plastics are divided into bioplastics and biodegradable. Bioplastics are not derived from petrol, like standard ones, but from renewable sources such as sugar cane (biological origin). Biodegradable plastics, on the other hand, are of fossil origin and can be disposed of in a short time but they are not renewable.
Eugenio Bellinzoni, investing in new plastic, joins Cosmosol in raising awareness of a sustainable world and underlines the importance of a proper differentiation of raw materials by each individual consumer.
